Friday the 13th

The Colony Hotel – the Palm Beach Post has hailed as "probably the best cabaret on the planet" – plans another sizzling, song filled Season the famous Royal Hotel Room, featuring some headliners hot directly from nightclubs more sophisticated Manhattan and Broadway – including, in fact, a Royal Room regular who was a 2008 Tony Award nominee.

"The settlement season Cabaret's 2008-2009 will be our biggest and best ever. Instead of having to fly to New York to see major cabaret stars at Oak Room of the Algonquin the Carlyle or Feinstein at the Regency, fans of the Great American Songbook now can enjoy many of the same extraordinary performers within the confines warmth of the royal chamber. I can guarantee the quality of these performers because I personally reviewed each one, "promises Roger Everingham, general manager of the boutique hotel favorite Palm Beach, which has repeatedly earned the highly coveted "4-Diamond Rating, "AAA.

Widely regarded as one of the top cabaret sites in the country, the colony's Royal has scheduled another room of online audience pleasing names of artists. Manhattan's most sophisticated cabaret singer Steve Ross has been lavishly praised by audiences and reviewers both for his singing style and personal drive. The show will take place December 12th and 13th centuries.

Comments include Steve Ross Philip Elwood in Jazz Chronicle: "Nobody works today is his equal. They do not make 'em like this anymore. "Backstage:" With the loss of Bobby Short, Steve Ross is the apotheosis of the man's last Manhattan piano par excellence. It refers to something timeless, well that future generations – Having moved on – may not see it in this regard and will never know what they missed. "Variety" Suave and flair … a staple of Manhattan cabaret scene for more than four decades. Ross emerges very charming, sings baritone with a light attractive and plays the piano with the grace of flowers and insurance. Ross balances the exuberance of songs from 1920 and '30 that reach forward into the field more contemporary of Jim Croce, Maury Yeston, and Stephen Sondheim. "Perhaps Cabaret Scenes said it best," Watching Steve Ross is a master of seeing his business rule. "

During the fall season of cabaret through December 2008, each of the cabaret performers will do a show 8 pm Friday and Saturday – except for The Four Freshmen, which will occur Wednesday through Saturday, December 17-20.

During January through April 2009, 8 pm shows will run Tuesday through Saturday with a PM 10 show Friday night and Saturday – except for Jack Jones (February 24 to March 7), which is not programmed to perform any late shows.
